I’ve been working hard the last two months to get ready for my summer shows, and I think it paid off this past weekend in St. Clair! The weather was beautiful, I ironed out the kinks with my new setup, and have a little better idea of what shoppers are looking for. I couldn’t have done it without my amazing friends, working the booth and helping me load and unload. I am also super thankful for all of the patrons who supported me by purchasing my work.
Here’s a look at the disaster in the studio before I finished my last firing before the show:

Here’s the final product:

The planters were a big hit, and I plan on doubling down on those for Lexington, and also for the DIY Street Fair in Ferndale in September.

I did manage to break one of my favorite bowls on Sunday morning, by knocking it off the table during setup. I will have to recreate it. All of the flowers were hand painted Michigan wildflowers, one of my favorite subjects!

All in all it was a great weekend (minus the loss of the bowl), now it’s time for cleaning the studio and getting more inventory ready for Lexington!
Until next time,
Katie
