About KB Studios

KBStudios is the personal studio of artist Katie Bartle. She is a ceramic and mixed media artist from Port Huron, Michigan, located about an hour north of Detroit. Katie decided in 2018 that it was time to share her passion of love for art & craft by offering classes to the community, and KB Studios was born. She has been working with clay for over 20 years and painting since the age of 2. She started teaching pottery at Studio 1219, a community studio, several years ago and is thrilled to have her own space to offer the community even more opportunities to be creative!

In addition to creating pottery, Katie received accolades from the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art in Salisbury Maryland at a young age for waterfowl decoy carving. She continues to enjoy creating folk art decoys and lures for friends and family. She held a solo show at The Spiral Gallery in 2012 featuring folk art decoys, lures, fish carvings, and mixed media outdoor illustrations. Her love for outdoors is a constantly appearing theme in her work.
