I’m finally getting back to somewhat normal after having to move my studio unexpectedly! Moving a pottery studio is not something anyone would want to do… ever…. I did end up with a bigger, more centralized location after a month of moving everything little by little! My new address is 1727 Pine Grove Avenue, just south of the Blue Water Bridge. Here’s a photo of the outside:
I’ve got just about everything unpacked and i’m getting settled in. I’ll post photos of the interior soon! This space is larger than my old shop and also has a separate area for the kiln, leaving me more floor space upstairs. I plan on having more workshops this fall and will be able to accommodate more students.
Bridal Party
A super fun bridal party activity was hosted at KB Studios last month and this is what they made! If you are interested in hosting a private party, send me a message and we can set a date!
Summer Classes Almost Over
Classes are winding down for the summer. In my Monday night class we worked on “feet” this week. Usually feet on a pot are simply nubs or a decorative scrolly thing. These are actual feet! Very unique.
Off to the races
I’ve got my work cut out for me for the next month or so. I’m in production mode! First show of the season is the Lexigton Fine Arts Fair in Lexington, Michigan on August 7th. Hope to see you there!
Until next time,
KB
