One year on the south side
October marked one year of studio life at 1935 Bancroft. These last 14 months have been amazing. Having the separate space, equipment and storage has been an unbelievable upgrade, allowing me to progress as an artist more rapidly than I thought was possible.
I’m making my goal list for 2020, including things like increasing the quality of my work, offering more classes, and pushing myself to learn. Along with my goal list, i’m currently working on designs for next summer’s shows, cleaning the studio, and making changes in the studio for organization and functionality.
What shows should I do in 2020?
Lexington is already paid for, my application for St. Clair is already in. I need a fall show to scoot in between August and November, so if anyone has any ideas please email me!
Etsy
Pottery will be available soon in my Etsy shop! Items that I haven’t been able to move at local shows need to get listed. Many of the items are OOAK and may be better appreciated on a global scale. Here is a link to my Etsy store that should be stocked by January 15th. KB Studios Pottery
Ornament Class
My first ornament class went over great! I had 5 ladies that joined me for 2 sessions to make Christmas ornaments. The had a great time and I am very inspired to keep teaching workshops! Check out some of their work below:
Break Time
I’m taking a much needed break over the holiday. No pots, no firing. I’ll be back in the studio in January to meet my new students and get back to work! I hope everyone has a great holiday and happy new year! Thank you to all who supported me this year in my endeavors, it means everything.
